My daughter is playing me

My wife seems to think that my daughter knows just what to do to get her way with me.  And for the most part she is probably right.  If she whines enough, I usually give her what she wants and if she looks at me a certain way or says please with that sweet voice, she pretty much got me where she wants.  What my wife might not realize is that since I don’t get to see my daughter much since I work most of the week, when I do see her, I just want to make her happy.  It’s harder for me to say no because I want to just enjoy the time I get to spend with her.  Having said that, I think if my little toddler was a boy, it would be totally different.  I don’t think I would give in to his whining that much because it’s stuck in my head that boys shouldn’t whine and I really don’t think he would have that look and voice that would make my heart melt.  It’s just different!  I’m sure women are the same way and they treat boys different than they do girls.   I think it’s just natural to treat the opposite sex differently or maybe I’m just a big sucker! ; - )
