Safest Child Carrier for Bicycles
February 26, 2008 – 3:51 pmSince I’ve already started on the subject of getting outdoors with your toddler in my last post, I thought I would talk about child carriers for bicycles. After researching bicycle carriers, I have come to the conclusion that the WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat is the safest and most comfortable of them all. You can protect your child more by having them ride in front of you instead of behind you plus they get a better view of the scenery. If you fall, you can better protect your toddler with your body. Another option is the bike trailer, but they are pretty heavy and big so they will limit you on the places you can go with those. Remember, you are not suppose to put a helmet on your toddlers head untill after his/her first birthday because their neck really can’t support it very well until then.
WeeRide Kangaroo Child Bike Seat ($54.06 at time of writing)
Product Description
Product Description The WeeRide Kangaroo Center Mounted Child Carrier offers an award-winning design that allows children to enjoy and share in the cycling experience, surrounded by your protective pair of arms. Your child is not behind you uninterested and distanced by the limited view. The child’s position also keeps the center of gravity where it belongs – on the bicycle frame, not behind the rider. This all adds up to a more comfortable ride for the cyclist AND the passenger. The Child Carrier is mounted on an independent adjustable steel support bar that attaches firmly between the frame’s head tube and the seat post. The support bar is designed to mount on almost any bicycle. For children up to 40lbs.
